Naw but this is like that other manga “Love and Dreams Don’t Mix” that everyone thought got cut short. The one where the girl, Kira, also accepted a rejection to see the girl miserable… but quickly learned how earnest she was and the motives changed. Thing is that Hikaru was ready good at looking like she’d be a useless lesbian but actually goes straight for direct communication.
Here, Manatsu, truly didn’t know what it was like to have a crush until Nagi suggested women. As a gyaru it was fun and fresh and I think she could take risks but outside of the 7 days of dating, in her head she probably thinks they’re at square one, unsure if Nagi has a crush and also, for the first time, experiencing anxiety and fear and insecurities that come with having a crush.
Nagi, well Nagi is like Kira who feels guilty and became avoidant. So it does make realistic sense… I’m just surprised Manatsu is okay with keeping this crush after the seven days when Nagi already shut her down on the final day…
