Watching Rare not fall apart due to her previous blunder and instead find ways to work around her handicap is some fun real-time adaptation.
And seeing Wayne compensate and come up with solid strategies on the fly like that sets him as a great counter to her, as well.

that wing flare on p22 had me feeling things.

Also the way she moved on him between that and p23 was just very dynamic and imposing, even as she was "beneath" him in the moment before she struck.

Very dramatic visual storytelling for a very big and flashy "boss fight".

well she's not an NPC boss character, but a self-styled Big Bad PC.

So the gamedevs don't factor into what she's doing, other than maybe having made the game as "open-world, open-ended" as is possible, so that a player could choose to become a BBEG and PvP other players from that position.

Small nitpick since I doubt it'll matter much in the long run.

But the move Rare used to close the gap is "shukuchi", more of a high speed movement instead of 'warp'

Imagine this fight from the other players' perspective.

"Shitty devs threw us a multi-stage raid boss with OHKO AOE attacks and its AI is really goddamn good"

or

"Oh, this is why they turned off the death penalty for this event. Even with the story item bonuses, this is a scripted loss event, isn't it?"

Her visual impairment limiting her decisions and actions like a relatively simple raid boss AI is actually such peak flavor. Demon's Souls Old Hero except she's a spiteful little lady!

Yup. The most the game devs have factored in is that they looked at what she was doing and said, "Hey, you fucked up the event we had planned, but coincidentally, you would fit wonderfully in its place. You're gonna keep doing what you want, but would you mind if we, to other players and marketing, used you instead?", to which she agreed. This is one of the big reasons as to why the other players haven't even considered the possibility that she herself is a player -the devs have given her a perfect mask.

That's some serious amount of gap moe. The greatest, most imposing demon lord, the most powerful threat to the human world of the current times... has poor eyesight and has trouble seeing her opponents.
