How did raimon become a ghost though? I thought a 'ghost' is an organic being in this world, so did raimon get a flesh body? Oh well idc as long as yoki is reunited with raimon, been a fun ride wish it was a bit longer

It was an enjoyable ride from beginning to end. Mysterious but comfy. I personally think the quality stayed consistent to Dowman's good works but agree this could've gone for a little longer.

Thank you for your translation. This was my first Dowman, so I'll be curious to read some of his better stuff. Anyone want to recommend their favorite?

Sort of depends what you liked about Vivarium, Douman has produced ALOT.

The Voynich Hotel is his most popular, and accessible. Has the same strong character charm of Vivarium. It's short and sweet, while a little dated (in the chuck norris joke way.) If you can, I'd go for the original translations, the SS one is absolutely OK but they censor the one of the funniest jokes, which you've probably seen isolated if you've ever been around the internet. The joke edit of Raimi I posted randomly in the MD forum was the girl from Voynich.

Melancholia is my favourite, if you like the way things weave together and lots of the little stories/details on a re-read then go for this. Go into it as unspoiled and raw as possible, it's just a master of story craftsmanship.
It's was also published in Ultra Jump when UJ was at it's peak (it also means some of his //tastes// are calmed down a little)

If you want Vivarium but more complete/full story then go for How Many Light-Years to Babylon?. It's about a similar length but is a complete story. Also if you like the sci-fi scrapings of Vivari, mit's good for that too.

Nickelodeon is on my 3x3 for personal reasons, it's 3 volumes of short vignettes and is closer to a gekiga. If Memory Poppy was one of your favorite chapters, then this is closer to it for you.

Also if you like zombie movies or have specific games you've liked he always does very funny tributes to them. His zombie rant about Shaun of the Dead lives rent free.

Thanks for the detailed response! How Many Light-Years and Voynich Hotel seem the most appealing, at first glance.
