No, even in that context, the word and phrasing choices are not what would be expected, unless a character has an established character trait of talking in an incredibly weird way, which is very much not the case for either of the two MCs.

The issues I pointed out are due to a translator who is not a native English speaker doing direct translations of Japanese sentences and not accounting for differences between Japanese and English in terms of vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure.
It's not "incredibly weird", and while there is a disconnect of native English to Japanese for the translator, it is not such that it is anything close to wrong as you imply.

For instance, the issue with the lap pillow line is that Japanese often omits objects and subjects from sentences, requiring the use of context clues to intuit what the object & subject of a sentence are. From my limited Japanese knowledge and checking the 204 raws, that appears to be the case with the mistranslated lap pillow sentence - the translator simply made the wrong choice when filling in the pronoun blanks and didn't realize that the next page had the answers.
Except as clarified, no he didn't. Tachibana described a situation, then imagined it reversed.

Or take "... Bad." That's just a direct translation of "... mazui/まずい" - just using "mazui" as a reaction when you're in a pickle is normal in Japanese, but the same is not true in English.
It's very much a trait with both childish people and animal people that speak English, and is only slightly off from the more universal "that's bad", of which the localization isn't needed.

While I am kind of here and there about how things have been with the last few chapters, I do somewhat agree with that much. Personally, I feel like it's more like: Tachibana starts out as a dude, magically turns into a woman, magically turns back into a male version of the woman that he was, realizes he'd rather be a woman, and now is magically a woman again, though awkward the timing was for both her and Jinguuji when that happened. Not that Tachibana was specifically like this before the first transformation, but rather that the events after that led her to deciding that she'd rather be a woman.

On that note, I'll miss loli Jinguuji, but oh well.

I dunno if other TSF manga are like this since I actually don't read much of that, nor do I watch it. This one's an exception for me for that, as well as Onimai, which I only ended up watching and not reading, but both are very fantastical in how they go about the sex bending. It's probably just me personally, but when it comes to that aspect of anything with TSF tagged right on the cover, I tend to not take it that seriously. I think it just takes me right out of the fantasy if I did, and I partially regret looking in the comments for that reason. Makes me wonder how the JP side was taking this when it was happening, though.

That translators note is missing a major theme of this manga: as we discover ourselves, we don't change who we are, we just realise things about ourselves that we've overlooked. Tachibana hasn't changed since her old world. She's always been a mix of apathy and fem-aligned while being taught to speak like a man. The dysphoria then sets in only when it overtakes the apathy, like when she made her wish before getting isekaied, or this whole ordeal being turned into a hot man again. And Tachibana hasn't changed beyond embracing being herself, so her speech doesn't need to change either. She only just figured herself out so maybe she'll experiment with it, seeing if a change in speech patterns fits her own image of herself better.

And the same for Jinguuji. Neither of them fundamentally changed so Jinguuji still sees the Tachibana he knows and loves, even if he discovered his love for him has more dimensions than he previously thought. Even if their dynamic has evolved, that is just a new approach with which he approaches the same old Tachibana.

I think this is a wonderful message of the author! As people find their true selves, be it in gender or sexuality, they still remain the same people we know and love. They just grow into a direction that fits them better. This is wildly underexplored in manga and is usually just left as a throw-away line that's part of a coming out scene without diving into what it actually means. And to get this from a comedy genderbend isekai of all genres!
