Hmm I interpret it more as there's some other reason she can't die, and the circus incident was just to show us that she'll come back to life

Yeah I somehow misread the circus chapter as "she's cursed to perform that suicide act over and over losing her memory each time", I reread it more carefully and it seems like they were just kidnapping ppl and having a different person perform it every day. Not a matter of interpretation, just me glossing over panels. Baffling she didn't know about it until then

I mean, it was a fair assumption that the revival had to do with the circus. The "participants" being revived after their act would both explain why the show hasn't been shut down by the police, and add another element of intrigue/mystery to the circus.
