Let's just say, I was caught off-guard by this last chapter release but starting next chapter I'll keep more vigilant to hopefully do a day-1 release, arigatou.

...but why? this series already has a group working on it for a long time. meanwhile hisashiburi ni jikka (or the R18 version) haven't gotten an update in months...

I can think of a couple reasons.
First and foremost is the other group stopped posting their translations to MD. True they are back now, but they stopped for a few months after the last mass DMCA takedown
Second this guy did translation work on this and other manga for the other group. He was later ejected when they got tired of cleaning up his shitty MTL work.
So while I personally will wait for the better quality work of the other group, that doesn't mean this person doesn't have valid reasons to continue posting chapters. Especially when they started doing so when his previous team had publicly stated they had no intention to continue posting on MD.
Like the other guy said, the group only started releasing on MD again after this guy released a bunch of chapters. They had apparently made the active decision to not release on MD, so this guy decided to start doing it instead.
The leader of said group spammed every thread of this guy's releases decrying the quality and him releasing these chapters, as if he had done the group some great big wrong. By... releasing chapters he had sourced and translated himself, on a site they chose to not upload to, and only after they had given him the boot.
Which gives (at least me) the impression they're upset more by the fact that they can't basically extort their scanlation of Uzaki to get people to visit their preferred sites and/or join their Discord.

Yeah, giving up your MD monopoly means exactly that: you've given it up. People tend to defend the rights of scanlators to not be 'sniped' as long as they continue posting on the site, but once a group lets it go, they've lost their defense. It's a put up or shut up world.

Oh make no mistake, I'm not defending the other group. I fully agree it's "put up or shut up" and if this guy wants to keep sticking it to 'em by continuing to scanlate, then more power to 'em. Far as I know he was minding his own business uploading to MD when they decided to try and muscle back in. Far as I'm concerned, they can kick rocks.
