The temper tantrum being thrown over this is purely racism from the usual suspects (western right-wing weebs) plain and simple. There's no chapter of this manga available anywhere to be read, nobody knows anything about it besides the premise, which describes a real thing that happens in that country, none of this "criticism" towards it can be taken seriously in any objective manner. Plus, the mangaka is more japanese than any of these people could ever hope to be.

Viz Media publishes out a lot of slop manga with cookie cutter premises, but this you take issue with. Gee, I wonder why.

Personally I think this is more interesting than yet another shounen/isekai that we've all seen before because I can't for the life of me recall any manga that tackles this particular topic. Looking forward to seeing if they deliver.

Not interesting at all, we see the same point on Netflix/games/comics/movies every few months (minority group is victims and everybody else is bad)
