Thanks for the chapter. Battan has such a mastery over the ugliness of romance and love and every chapter just proves it over and over again.

The dialect used when translating the students is odd and missing a few words "Imma be cutting your hair" on page five and "Imma finally open the shop of my dreams" on page four.

I always find mangas about the process of creating manga so interesting. I wonder how much of this is based on Battan's own experiences. Reminds me a bit of some of Nagata Kabi's works in a way.

This kid is out of his mind a bit. It's fine to have hopes and dreams but using that as an excuse to harass a co-worker is lame. And Futami is part of the problem too. She preys on these lonely and downtrodden people, giving them hope and validation they desperately crave. As soon they're no longer useful to her, she abandons them...

It's going to be so juicy watching mc discover more and more of futami's sociopathic side but still falling right into the trap anyway.

I'm not really sure why the author devoted so much time to him yet. I wanted to see more of the mc but the author has to cook so maybe it's worth it.

It's not missing words, it's just that "Imma" is a multiple word contraction/shortening/etc.

He's the tutorial run if you like. I like that the author have us a chance to see how he hopes and dreams and is a real person with hopes and dreams and frustrations like our MC. It makes Futami's abandonment of him hit so much harder, and it shows us a potential (likely in my opinion, I personally think that Iwao the jaded author would be a better fit for Seri) ending for our Protag.

Like I don't like who he is now but I get the feeling that he is the way he is because of that addiction and if he got proper help, love, support etc. he'd be fine and happy and learn to be respectful of others' feelings. Because if there are a few things Futami is not teaching you it's boundaries and empathy.

i think you hit the nail on the head. he's a piece of shit, but i can't help but want him to get better..

also i wanted to add onto your reply for the other comment, i think the fact the author showed us the perspective of another one of futami's mangakas is actually really nice and interesting to see. i wonder if she'll do the same for the other ones? or at least a couple of them? it helps you get a better sense of the kind of person futami is, and sets a point of reference for her treatment of the mc.
