I'm not too well versed in the belief, but was Jesus not born a man, even if he was supposed to be part of the divine God?They had to nerf Jesus to the Human side so we get some fighting chance.
God. Jesus and the holy spirit is one, one divinity 3 parts, Jesus came down as a perfect man to save the mankind from sin, so he was in a Human body in that 33 years he lived on earth, but He and God is one, so he should've been on the divinity's side, or God being portraid as a Good God who opposed the destruction of mankind.I'm not too well versed in the belief, but was Jesus not born a man, even if he was supposed to be part of the divine God?
And, I get Buddha as well as Jesus, but why Socrates and Confucius?
Were the later 2 not just philosophers instead of being prophets?
You said he came down as the "perfect man" there.God. A human body with divinity inside, that body was created by divinity, yes you could say Mary was a mortal human so there are some contradictions. Whatever I'm Christian and I just don't take these mangas seriously. You said he came down as the "perfect man" there.
That should mean he, as an entity, is first and foremost, a "man", with divinity on the side, not as the divine in and of himself.
I'm not here to talk about contradictions. If it's contradictions we are talking about, it's going to take so much time I'd just back away already.A human body with divinity inside, that body was created by divinity, yes you could say Mary was a mortal human so there are some contradictions. I agree, He was in a Human body after all, ah I'm think too much into it.I'm not here to talk about contradictions. If it's contradictions we are talking about, it's going to take so much time I'd just back away already.
But here, we are arguing if Jesus was human. And by every function, he was.
Even if he had divinity in him, he was still in a human body and lived a human's life.
That same traits happens elsewhere and not with just Jesus.
One example is Tang Sanzang where he was supposed to be a bodhisatva who, with all the divinity, reincarnated himself as human once more to spread the belief of Budhism in China in a more pure, correct way and only came back to divinity after his deed was completed and recognized.
Ok, Tang Sanzang was more fictional, so here's another example from an actual belief:
Huangdi, one of the Chinese ancient emperors, who was born a human conceived through the devine light, then born a human, and later on became fully divine that ascended to the heaven after death. He was also recognized with divinity after death because of all his achievements: invention of writing, invention of compass, establishment of governance, founding of medicine, etc.
Oh, and China is chockful of such figures too (Shennong, Laozi, Fuxi, etc). But even with all that, they were still asociated with humanity instead of divinity over all. No reason that could not be applied to Jesus.
