Well, I don't think Davi needs to eat them; she's got plenty of food from the looks of it. If she did eat them, it would be because she thought it necessary to kill them and figured there's no need to waste food. I guess maybe that's why she was fighting by biting them instead of just crushing them. She doesn't seem in a rush to eat them so they might have a chance to talk to her.
