I think it's because his grudge against "grandmother" make him went that far too.

ferdinand get treated far worse and I'd say it'd not be surprised if he point his grudge to slyvester but he still being nice brother and even fully trust him when he said his kid will grow up to be good lord like previous chapter.

He's probably not gonna went that far but because Wil being biased against him(due to Veronica's influence) and mentioned "grandmother" is probably last straw for ferdinand to let his emotion loose(crushed the kid and his attendant)

So yeah, trauma and grude stay 'till the end of his life. I hope Myne being middleman(or girl) for both side in this arc conclusion.
Ferdinand didn't crush Wilfried with mana, only bound him and crushed his carefree attitude with words and the effortless crushing of Wilfried's guard.

Imagine the difficulty of getting archnoble children to snap out of a crushing tantrum. No wonder they have mana sucking magic tools prepared!

I don't know about that.
Many time people use harshness when other methods would have a better result. For instance a parent beating their kid if they do something they told them not to do, when explaining the reason they should not do it, without the need for beatings, while answering any questions they have would help them better understand the actions they have and their consequences, because otherwise they will do those actions when the parent is no longer around, because they don't understand what was wrong with doing it other than their parents told them not to.
So there are many more harsh lessons that are overly harsh and either not important or not effective due to learning something other than what is intended.
I have known (not raised) children who struggle to learn the dangers of the modern world because they do not feel and believe it, running out in full parking lots alone because they have no reason to believe something bad will happen. In my opinion such children need either a physically painful punishment accompanied by, "this pain doesn't even come close to what you could feel from doing that! You could lose a limb or DIE!" : or actual photos of aftermath of accidents (automotive or otherwise if a different machine is involved)

Every child old enough to speak sentences and walk needs to know on some level that warning labels are written in BLOOD. In our society far too many adults view gruesome warning labels as mere suggestions. Much like Wilfried viewed his education in noble society as optional when death is actually potentially on the line.

I know, i just quoted it directly from the novel to point out that contract was, without a shred of doubt, nullified. I'm not sure why you decided to elaborate on what everyone already knows.

Also, what you said isn't exactly true:
Emergency submission contract was not for a kidnappers, but in case of political pressure. And Myne wouldn't like to adopt Dirk herself, or let other nobles to do that either, since both cases would force him to leave the orphanage, and consequently Delia (his only family in myne's mind) behind. Also, at the point of this discussion, she is already Karsted's daughter, and even archduke's adopted daughter, so it's already not really a problem, but adoption is a very serious thing with tons of responsibilities and arrangement. That's also the reason why emergency contract prepared was "submission" one, instead of "adoption"

Not at all, those are the quotes from way long before on the timeline. Right now, you are in discussion page of part 3, and if you didn't know anything from part 1 or part 2, you can only blame yourself from reading something that you shouldn't.

What are you even talking about? This entire part 3, literally every single frame of this manga, is a huge spoiler to the content of part 1 and part 2. So if you want to censor anything to be spoilerfree, you should start with banning entirety of the manga first, and not just it's comment section.

It's not a rocket science, really. If you wanted a spoilerfree experience - you weren't supposed to be here in the first place.

It is still not spoiler protected...
I checked, and spoiler properly put down there. At the very least on the message that other dude was pointing out. If you want me to put spoiler - atleast point out exactly where.

It's not about entitlement of LN readers, it's about manga being produced from several points of timeline simultaneously. Just starting reading a 3rd book immediately spoilers you the ending of the 2nd, even if that ending is not published in manga format yet. 3rd book ISN'T SUPPOSED to be read before you read 2nd completely. If it's discussion of a 3rd book, then everything that happened in 2nd is fair deal. If you want a spoiler free experience - you shouldn't read 3rd book in the first place. Nobody is going to pin-point investigate whether that specific part is "released in other manga", or especially whether "that part is translated", what's important is that part is earlier on timeline, and not a "flashback" further down.

You aren't entitled to being angry at the "Alien 2" movie for spoilering the "Alien" ending.

No, just because someone CAN read ahead and spoil themselves doesn't mean that they have.

You aren't okay to open spoil later chapters within Part 3, therefore you aren't okay to openly spoil chapters from Part 4.

It's not that hard to put spoiler blocks on your text. Be respectful reader commenter.

This isn't about being mad at the alien 2 movie for spoiling Alien: it's about being mad at people in a forum about the alien 2 movie for spoiling Alien 3 because there's already a forum discussing the first half of Alien: Romulus.

Georgine does NOT come up yet by name by this point. Anything about her in this thread should be spoiler blocked
