No. The plan was to wait until both sides were in the middle of their DragonballZ style kamehameha-fest in chapter 1, take advantage of their preoccupation and kill both of them in one go. The problem was that Naga and Anastasia's ultimate magic powerscaling battle caused that big explosion that isekai-ed all of them and caught the twins by surprise as well.

I'm sure they'd like to take out both, but the wording here implied they'd be fine even if they only took one out as that would get them enough prestige with the demons.

i have absolutely nothing against the writer flexing their creative muscles with the backstories and all but they gotta reign it in, man. i get that the manga started as a gag ecchi deal & the characters getting fleshed out backstory-wise was secondary to the characters getting fleshed out uh... plot...-wise at the time, but now we have a much more detailed background of the newcomers than we do the entire rest of the cast... not saying they should change the content, just like, space it out a bit? give us more of the story we originally showed up for (surviving on a deserted island & looking at dragon tits) in between the new lore, you know? it sounds strange to suggest making this stuff take up even more chapters, but more chapters with other stuff + this backstory in a less pace-breaking format would work a lot better imo. this plot dump doesn't even have the same justifications as what we got for the other characters; most of the others' were characters telling each other (or having nightmares or whatever, which is fine too) so they get to know each other whereas this is solely for the reader's benefit & MC deciding to do this test of faith is kind of a dumb, sudden, and risky idea when you realize the characters' understanding of each other literally has not progressed in any way since the previous chapter before the flashback began (since like i said, it's only for our sake & the others can't see any of it) & he's just risking getting murdered based purely on vibes and hope or whatever, lol. bro has no clue that the current twin liked humans once & isn't distrusting and headstrong like the other one, he doesn't even know the sister is the one egging him on to be destructive (hence the boot-camp bullshit of trying to break his rebellious attitude or whatever in the first place), it's just kind of a "well i saved his life & that was at least a part of what worked for the others, so let's just skip the 'talking things out' part of the trust-building process this time & see how things go", like if it works out he thinks he can speedrun befriending the next superpowered freak that shows up by immediately endangering & rescuing them or something lmao
