But all of those statements are true and somehow people are acting as of sniping is a new thing that is happening only because the franchise is now popular and not a thing that has happened since fan translations are a thing.

For fans by fans has always been the rule of the game, no monetizing, no gatekeeping behind paywall, only donations and goodwill, calling out someone for just uploading faster is just dumb, no one is putting a gun to your head and forcing you to read it.

At the end of the day is up to the translator if he wants to continue, is undoubtedly true that his translations are superior to the fast ones, and fans of the franchise will re-read his as they come out, but if another guy with vastly inferior quality control is all it takes to make him stop this project...well that was it i guess, fans will wait for the official translation for another high quality.

I'd rather they just continue onwards and translate rather than stop cause a flood of people prefer to eat McDonalds over a high quality meal.

I never like it when someone stops when they're at their best because someone else did the same work they did, but quicker and rushed with a lot of mistakes and no soul left behind it. I rather they stick it till the end, no matter what.

back in the day every popular manga had fast and not very good scanlations and quality ones that were released at a slower pace. one type does not invalidate the other and there is an audience for both (including an overlap of hardcore fans that will read both). you kids make too much drama over this shit
