I know this is a more of a lighthearted manga (Despite the mental and physical abuse Agnes went through) surely the only punishment that is fitting for the princess and the clown is a guillotine or a hanging. Especially the clown that hypnotized and took advantage of the daughters of the nobles and selling them to other nobles.
But they will probably just locked away in prison.

Actually, it’s true…in the light novel! Between the last chapter upload and this one, the light novels got licensed in English and published (the manga is still unlicensed lol). I read them and the manga cut quite a bit from the novels.

They also cut out the sexual harassment scenes but I do not mind that 😓

Oh yeah, they’re skipping a whole bunch of stuff. I’ve read up to volume four, but there’s so much going on that the manga is skipping, it’s kinda sad.

For people who aren’t into reading and just wanna know what they’re missing, here are the highlights so far:

Spoiler: Light Novel Spoilers Cut from Manga

• The end of this party: the queen, Robin, and the princess are all ousted from the palace. Robin is sent to a convent with no women (the worst thing to happen to him), while the queen and princess are exiled to a criminal’s island. The king abdicates and prince Beltrand (Bell) becomes king. There are still former supporters of the queen out there doing bad things; the rest of series is about bringing them to justice.
• Bell’s wife Latriche is also cut from the manga, which is bad cause she’s cool as shit! She kicks ass, adores Agnes, and helps when she can.
• The rest of the series has Sutrena continue to rise up as a prominent place to be. They develop new snacks like fries and tapioca pearls that increase their land’s popularity. It also has become a destination for young noble ladies victimized by Robin and their families to run away to.
• The state church is heavily corrupted. One of the most talented appraisal priests gets demoted because he’s a commoner and sent to Sutrena. He is very confused at first by how friendly everyone is but then he gets happy that he is feee from the church’s bullshit and have time to study special magic.
• He also appraises Agnes’ magic. Turns out her skill is actually called “Absolute Reinforcement” and she can reinforce objects, people, and animals. She also has multiple other hidden skills and has an almost unlimited supply of mana. One of her hidden skills turns out to be a form of healing, which could mean Agnes is a saint but everyone is keeping that a secret.
• Agnes and Nazelbert decide to have an official wedding ceremony. They travel to a neighboring viscounty to get the rings, but while staying with the lord of the land, they discover that the viscount and his family are mistreating their oldest daughter, Sonia like Cinderella. They “kidnap” her and take her back to Sutrena where she works as a maid and then moves to the appraisal priest’s new church because they fall in love (aww! ❤️)
• Sonia’s spoiled younger sister (idk her name but she speaks like a parody of a moe character and ends her sentences with a star ⭐️) finds out cause Sonia left she now has to become the concubine for the ugly old head priest of the church, who is a sadist and locks girls up in his dungeon to be whipped. She escapes to Sutrena to try and make Sonia go and marry the head instead, but she refuses and the sister ends up staying and falls for Connie lol
• Oh yeah and it turns out Connie has a crush on Agnes’ maid along with her brother Paul. Their feelings are not noticed lol
• The appraisal priest is kidnapped by the head priest and his goons after the marriage with Sonia and her sister falls through, and after Prince (now king) Beltrand and his wife, Queen Latriche, save the head priest’s other concubines. Agnes and Nazelbert save their priest while the head priest is sent to the same convent Robin is in lol
• Agnes and Nazelbert finally have their wedding and it’s so cute lol
• Agnes also decides to be a proper margravine and participate in high society. She has trouble at first because of her past, and that the women of high society are awful. She also has to contend with a really bitchy reporter who writes an article about how Agnes is cheating on her husband with his brother, which causes Nazelbert to get her fired to protect his babe.
• The reporter ends up working for a Duke who’s still “loyal” to the queens faction and tries to kidnap the princess and Robin’s child (who gets adopted by his wet nurse, a countess) to make him king instead. It ends in this overblown plot that ends with Agnes kidnapped, she saving herself, Nazelbert getting critically injured trying to stop the evil Duke, and Agnes discovering her healing magic.
• Oh and Agnes finds out she’s pregnant! That’s the main plot of volume five, which I haven’t read yet.

Don’t worry though, they still have healthy communication and relationship, so all good!
• Agnes’ brother Paul is taking his graduation exam and Agnes wants to go watch as his guardian. Nazelbert didn’t want her going since she’s pregnant but gave in in the end and they went together with her maid Kelly and their knight Torre.
• They arrive in Polyp. which in recent years has experienced desertification. They’re in the southern part, though, which still has farmland.
• Paul has become muscular and handsome, and his power is much stronger now but still acts awkwardly with his sister and has that crush on Kelly haha. He’s friends with a boy named Ryuk who’s from a family of knights. Ryuk is a coward though and wants to do something in administration or history but his father is kind of abusive and tells him it’s knights or nothing.
• Agnes and Nazelbert want to help out Ryuk so they agree to hire him and Paul to oversee the new territory they gained from the corrupt nobles they defeated from previous volumes. This makes Ryuk very happy and he gets a crush on Kelly too (and she never notices lol)
• Agnes also has to contend with the chairman of the school, Valen, who’s also the second prince of Polyp. and Latriche’s brother. He grows interested in Agnes and makes some moves to be her lover since in his country having lovers on the side is accepted, unlike in Sutrena. Nazelbert is not. Pleased.
• Agnes does make friends with Duchess Masroono, the wife of the Duke who’s the headmaster of Paul’s school and the lord of the land where the school is. She hates that her husband has a lover (a florist Agnes and Nazelbert meet while out on a date).
• Nazel gets asked by Prince valen if he can help Polyp’s farming issues, as they’re suspecting something is wrong with the country’s soil. He is able to use a crop that doesn’t need his magic to grow that he developed back home to temporarily relieve the issue but a permanent one must be found.
• While Paul takes his graduation exam, a group of monsters that look like giant beetles attacks the students and families watching. Nazel, Torre, valen and Polyp knights defeat the bugs but they also unleash a purple toxin that pollutes the ground.
• After researching they discover that the bugs were manufactured by someone and start defeating the bugs in other areas of the country.
• The Duke suspects that Agnes may be the legendary saint that could solve all their issues. He tries to snatch her up but gets his ass kicked by Nazel and co first, and then his wife. Everyone realizes that the Duke likes being beat up by his wife (eww) and he’s punished for his stupidity.
• Turns out the bugs were made by a group of former nobles from Agnes’ homeland. They’re defeated and the bug attacks stop but the land is still ravaged by poison and recovery is gonna take a long time.
• Agnes accidentally purifies the land proving she’s the saint but she and Nazel don't say anything and just head home.
• Epilogue: that bitch Robin is back and oh yeah HE FUCKING ESCAPES. He escapes the convent he’s imprisoned in by going with an agent from another country who think Robin is the saint and he’s gonna sexually harass Agnes again, isn’t he? 🫩

Vol. 5 is the latest novel as of 10/10/25, so unless somebody has dibs on a Japanese copy of the light novels that’s it for updates okay my thumbs hurt bye bye 🕊️

Given that the manga is ending in like 7 or 8 more chapters, I appreciate the info full info. Sucks that we miss so much but it also makes sense to not try nd cram too much in before the end. Also no surprise that so multiple characters have a crush on Kelly. She is the best.

The biggest parts the manga doesn’t show is when Agnes is put under Robin’s spell. His magic works kind of like a truth serum, where you are forced to say how you feel; robin had hoped Agnes would reveal how she hated Nazelbert and living in a backwater place. But when Robin does it to her and asked if living in Sutrena is tough, she goes into a heartrending speech about how Nazelbert saved her and how wonderful her new home is. She brings everyone in the venue to tears lol.

They also cut out the sexual harassment scenes but I do not mind that 😓

Robin and Agnes only met once during Nazelbert’s condemnation scene at the beginning of the story, and he doesn’t really remember what Agnes looked like outside of her outfit.

Later, when Agnes and Nazel arrive at the royal palace for the Princess’s newborn’s party, they have a little downtime before the party the next day. Agnes explores a garden back behind their room at the castle palace (Nazel has to meet his father and older brother to get yelled at for not doing what the princess wants) While she’s there, Robin stumbles in and is immediately smitten with her. Since he doesn’t remember what she looked like before, he doesn’t believe Agnes when she says who she is. During their conversation, Robin catcalls her, touches her ass, tries to lure her away to “have fun together” and chases after her when she flees. Luckily Nazel arrives shortly after and confronts Robin, driving him off for a bit.

The next night during the party, Robin approaches Agnes again trying to get her to leave Nazel for him. This is when he tries using his power on her, hoping she’ll be comforted like all of his other victims are. Instead, Agnes doubles down on her love for Nazel and is fascinated and disgusted by Robin’s power.

Afterwards, during the revolt, Robin takes Agnes hostage with a knife. While holding her Robin touches her ass again and tells her she’s exactly his type (cute and has a nice butt) right in front of Nazel. At this point Agnes has had enough and suplexes him. Because of the enhancement charm on her body, she is way stronger than Robin and knocks him out.

At the end, Robin is still drooling over Agnes even as he’s being sentenced. Oh and the whole time he’s calling her his “little birdie” yuck.

• Agnes also decides to be a proper margravine and participate in high society. She has trouble at first because of her past, and that the women of high society are awful. She also has to contend with a really bitchy reporter who writes an article about how Agnes is cheating on her husband with his brother, which causes Nazelbert to get her fired to protect his babe.

• That Duke is actually an interesting guy: his dad was part of the former queen’s faction and he only inherited the title because he got himself out of it. But the Duke doesn’t actually care about overthrowing the monarchy, he just wants to live in peace and only acts evil because he has to live up the remaining faction’s expectations. He even likes Agnes and gives up because she’s just so nice.
• But mind you, he’s still a dick. He finds out that the former princess and Robin’s son was adopted by his wet nurse, a countess, and he tries breaking into their house twice to use him as a pawn for a rebellion. He even gets the common folk persuaded to form a mob (led by reporter) and raid the count’s manor to steal the kid by force. Luckily Agnes and Nazel are able to help but it actually was really scary Volume 4 is good guys, omg
• After the Duke gets caught at the end, he’s sent to the same island where Princess Mia and her mom the former queen are. Turns out he and Mia are childhood friends and he contributes to her reforms while focusing on his research. He finally becomes free to do what he wants and so it’s a happy ending for him.
• Oh and Agnes finds out she’s pregnant! That’s part of the main plot of volume five.

EDIT: okay finished Volume 5, kinda didn’t retain as much as I did for the earlier volumes even though so much happened so apologizes if I miss stuff. Anyway summary time:

Spoiler: Awful Summary of Volume 5 light novel

• So when Agnes’ parents got arrested, her brother Paul was sent by Queen Latriche to her home country of Polypstan (idk the spelling calling it Polyp. for now on) to study abroad. Volume 5 takes place in Polyp.
• Agnes is pregnant and Nazelbert has become overprotective to the maximum. If he wasn’t doing so many good things he would have earned the “Lord Villain” moniker that the English light novel title gives him lol cause he keeps wanting to lock Agnes up since she’s so cute. Don’t worry though, they still have healthy communication and relationship, so it’s all good!
• Agnes’ brother Paul is taking his graduation exam and Agnes wants to go watch as his guardian. Nazelbert didn’t want her going since she’s pregnant but gave in in the end and they went together with her maid Kelly and their knight Torre.
• They arrive in Polyp. which in recent years has experienced desertification. They’re in the southern part, though, which still has farmland.
• Paul has become muscular and handsome, and his power is much stronger now but still acts awkwardly with his sister and has that crush on Kelly haha. He’s friends with a boy named Ryuk who’s from a family of knights. Ryuk is a coward though and wants to do something in administration or history but his father is kind of abusive and tells him it’s knights or nothing.
• Agnes and Nazelbert want to help out Ryuk so they agree to hire him and Paul to oversee the new territory they gained from the corrupt nobles they defeated from previous volumes. This makes Ryuk very happy and he gets a crush on Kelly too (and she never notices lol)
• Agnes also has to contend with the chairman of the school, Valen, who’s also the second prince of Polyp. and Latriche’s brother. He grows interested in Agnes and makes some moves to be her lover since in his country having lovers on the side is accepted, unlike in Sutrena. Nazelbert is not. Pleased.
• Agnes does make friends with Duchess Masroono, the wife of the Duke who’s the headmaster of Paul’s school and the lord of the land where the school is. She hates that her husband has a lover (a florist Agnes and Nazelbert meet while out on a date).
• Nazel gets asked by Prince valen if he can help Polyp’s farming issues, as they’re suspecting something is wrong with the country’s soil. He is able to use a crop that doesn’t need his magic to grow that he developed back home to temporarily relieve the issue but a permanent one must be found.
• While Paul takes his graduation exam, a group of monsters that look like giant beetles attacks the students and families watching. Nazel, Torre, valen and Polyp knights defeat the bugs but they also unleash a purple toxin that pollutes the ground.
• After researching they discover that the bugs were manufactured by someone and start defeating the bugs in other areas of the country.
• The Duke suspects that Agnes may be the legendary saint that could solve all their issues. He tries to snatch her up but gets his ass kicked by Nazel and co first, and then his wife. Everyone realizes that the Duke likes being beat up by his wife (eww) and he’s punished for his stupidity.
• Turns out the bugs were made by a group of former nobles from Agnes’ homeland. They’re defeated and the bug attacks stop but the land is still ravaged by poison and recovery is gonna take a long time.
• Agnes accidentally purifies the land proving she’s the saint but she and Nazel don't say anything and just head home.
• Epilogue: that bitch Robin is back and oh yeah HE FUCKING ESCAPES. He escapes the convent he’s imprisoned in by going with an agent from another country who think Robin is the saint and he’s gonna sexually harass Agnes again, isn’t he? 🫩

Vol. 5 is the latest novel as of 10/10/25, so unless somebody has dibs on a Japanese copy of the light novels that’s it for updates okay my thumbs hurt bye bye 🕊️

Damn, even though I like the manga, this makes me feel like the adapters either had a different vision for the manga (i.e. a more light-hearted and less intensive story, which is fair enough), or they did a shoddy and lazy job.

Pity that we don't get this more well-rounded story, but I guess that's life.

Probably different vision, kind of: while some manga adaptations go for as long as the original source materials goes, companies will also factor in in the source material’s popularity, how much space they have in the magazine, if they’re just making the manga to be advertisement for the original source material, the author’s desires, etc.

In this case, I suspect the adaptation team was given a set number of chapters to do. Idk whether they thought they would go on to adapt the other books and found out they weren’t, or knew in advance they were only doing the first book. Either way, they decided to create their own ending rather than set up the next book as a blatant way to tell people to read the book.
