That's the kind of thing the author has to mention in the post itself lol. I mean I guess you can assume it's in the future since they're dating and seem to be in their own apartment, but with the rest of the series being in high school, it's not hard to just open the new chapter, click through without really thinking about it, and then just see that at the end there and go "oh shit, aren't they underaged?" Doesn't help that they look identical to how they've looked through the rest of the series, with no visible design differences to at least start to think the timeframe might be different.
