are fake translations allowed on mangadex?

so i stumbled upon this eng translation:

https://mangadex.org/chapter/16f84d76-4bf6-4b26-b832-4d060fd32c73

which was clearly a retranslation from this:

https://mangadex.org/chapter/e4828772-227f-44bf-8603-154550f5d5bd

for example, on page 6, the second bubble says:

ahora seremos libres / now, we are finally free

now, i don't speak spanish, but even with zero knowledge of spanish, it's clear that 'libres = free'
meaning that english translation is not even using the raws (original japanese) for translation, but spanish

and here is the issue: the spanish translation is fake in almost all speech bubbles.
take the same page 6 for example, the japanese text on the whole page goes as follows:

raws:

https://imgchest.com/p/n87wn8poq7x

text:

やった総長!アンタは大した女じゃ!
敵の頭は?
すみません...いつの間にか消えてました
そうか まあいい
またどうせ向こうからちょっこいかけてクンだろ
それよかお前も騒げるだけ騒いでおけ

そこまでだ

the rough translation is like this:

you did it, boss! you're one hell of a woman!
and the enemy's boss?
sorry... they were gone before i knew it
i see, well whatever
they’ll probably come picking a fight again on their own anyway
moreover, you go celebrate as much as you can as well
?
that's enough!

but the english translation in the uploaded chapters (taken from spanish) goes like this:

great job, boss! now, we are finally free!
i wonder if it really is over
sorry, i got distracted and they managed to escape
they ran away because we are that strong!
well, all that's left to do now is to gather information
and we should probably stop the riot we started...
?
stop right there!

it's completely fake translation, which would change the flow of the story, provide false context, etc.
is this kind of no-effort low-effort translation allowed?

No. Joke chapters are only an April Fools thing. Report the chapter, and include this explanation so it's clear this isn't a 'bad translation quality issue' but rather 'a fake translation'.

hmm... is it a "fake" translation, tho?

I see this as "a re-translation of a bad translation", where the first (bad) translation took too much of creative liberty on the translation. Maybe they don't know much about Japanese, or bad MTL, idk.
But I usually see "fake" as someone intentionally making it wrong.

i don't think it is a 'bad translation' or 'bad mtl', but actually a 'fake' one.
let's say, you don't know japanese. and if you look at this:

そうか まあいい

would you think it's something like:

they ran away because we are that strong!

it's not even kanji, but plain hiragana. anyone who is familiar with any japanese media would know that.
especially someone who's 'translating' a manga.
even if you put it into mtl (deepl), it gives you:

I see. Well, whatever.
Ya veo. Bueno, no importa.

here's mtl version of the full text:

¡Bien hecho, jefa! ¡Eres una mujer increíble!
¿Qué pasó con el líder enemigo?
Lo siento... desapareció sin dejar rastro.
Ya veo. Bueno, no importa.
Tarde o temprano volverá arrastrándose.
Será mejor que aproveches el alboroto mientras puedas
¿?
Ya basta.

Way to go, boss! You're one hell of a woman!
What about the enemy leader?
Sorry... He vanished before I knew it.
I see. Well, whatever.
He'll come crawling back soon enough anyway.
More importantly, you should make as much noise as you can while you can.
Huh?
That's enough.

just using mtl without proofreading already gives more accurate translation that those in uploaded chapters (both spanish and english).

Well, that's entirely possible, but at some point there's a line that has to be drawn based on the end results, since intent is unknowable. I would expect if the argument made above is laid out and the mods decide this doesn't warrant removal for some reason, they're not going to be too upset about it being called out regardless - it's clearly beyond the intent of the 'don't report bad translation quality' rule to my way of thinking when so much of the TL misses the original by such a wide margin.

you'll see that a lot of translator who uploaded stuff here mentioned that "I don't know any Japanese" and "all is done by MTL"

what counts as fake then? Where's the line?

I made numerous comments on many manga when I see that the translation is wrong, or it's not entirely correct, or it's not fit to the context.
Some changed the whole meaning of the story, some simply because the translators didn't really understand the Japanese context, some because the OCR couldn't read the text.

I would flip that around - if you're 'translating' a manga but you can't actually defend your translation because you don't know one of the involved languages, is it a 'real' translation?

well, that's the thing

since intent is unknowable.
so, @mangadexjp have you actually tried to contact the translators or make a comment on the chapter telling them that their translations are wrong?
(I haven't checked)
