Longer answer. The original publisher stopped publishing. The artist retained the rights and continues the manga, but it is now self-published. You can't even buy the original tankobons anymore. So the volume count will never increase. The latest chapter to be release was 77 part 2 (December of last year). But the mangaka had some trouble with the site he was using and has switched to a different site.

The author fucked up in this one and almost moved the plot a small step forward... Hopefully they'll get things under control in the next chapter and get back to irrelevant rape scenes instead of the plot.

Are you sure its Chapter 77 PART 2? I've only been able to find up to 77 part 1 no matter where I look...
Well I found chapter 77 part 2, seems a while ago it was taken off that original site you were talking about, and made hidden. However there is another site that announced the re-release of chapter 77 part 2 on 1/27/2026, to be 2/14/2026. The website is "DLsite" for anyone interested.

Ohh so the author is finally going for a longer deathgame arc with a lot more players. I hope he won't make it too generic like a fighting or survival manga and still have some random, imaginative mechanics.

It's because the author puts so much effort into the deranged and elaborate worldbuilding that the rape and smut scenes are so entertaining and satisfying. He can't give us too much. it would ruin it. he has to make us work for them at least a bit.
