Yes but she also looked at other characters during the manga. I find it far fetched that kuro knows about the custom of catching a bouquet during a wedding. In fact she was rather bad at integrating into human society during the manga compared to Zeno. She never even learned human speech.

Out of the blue, I remembered this one and re-read it. Still awesome, and one of the few manga I know that is so organic in showing multiple characters getting older.

Uh yes it does. But not just relationships but all story conclusions, twists ect.

Here it feels forced because there's wasn't a single scene which showed that they had feelings for each other.
In comparison it would feel similar dissatisfying if there were scenes that implied their feelings but without a conclusion (Which actually happens in a lot of manga/anime).

Good story writers use foreshadowing, chekrov guns ect. Bad ones pull that stuff out of their ass. These are just mostly irreverent side characters so it doesn't ruin the story, but it still feels out of place.

They did foreshadow it though. In the wedding phase of the story, and before that with how the only persons she seems to allow to touch her are Tia and Zeno.

Forshadowing should be done repeatedly through the story not just a single mention one chapter ago.

People don't like my comment how I dislike this forced shipping because they like the characters. I get it. To be frank, in retrospect, I dislike a lot of my own comments I wrote in this comment section too. They sound stupid even when i read them now and I definitely should have rephrased and rewritten some of them.

However I stand my ground about the relationship of Kuro +Butler. When the whole story was about Beatrice +prince, inserting this second ship while there were no romantical signs between the characters until the last 2 chapters or so, feels forced and out of place. I don't even consider touching in that context as being romantical. More a sign if friendship.

But hey thats just me. Im just saying that the majority of manga I've read have set up romances of side characters more competently and we should be allowed to expect more.

Yes but the first scene she is shown being pregnant is in her animal form. While we have never seen his animal form.

It doesn't require a lot of imagination by the reader to jump to a certain conclusion, which form each of them used to perform coitus 😂

it's quite obvious and stated that's she's in her fox form while pregnant to conserve energy, it's obvious they didn't screw while she was in her fox form

Not sure why I'm replying to old comments, but interactions between Zeno and Kuro go pretty far back. The biggest impression I had is that she was fine getting princess-carried during Heronia's fake sleep shenanigan. As far as I know, Bertia and Zeno are the only ones who can freely touch her, so it definitely didn't come out of the left field.

(Her having an adult form and the fact that she is weakened during daytime were a surprise though.)
