Iirc in the WN, there is a part where Akira is asked what his end goals are. Ultimately he wants it both ways, to reunite with his family and to be with Amelia forever...we'll just have to see how the author does things.

I unironically think the manga is better than the anime, since I stopped watching the anime pretty much at this point, but Im still enjoying the manga

One of my least favorite fantasy tropes is when a whole bunch of characters get together and say a bunch of things, but don't advance the plot by a single inch. Like, it is the long awaited reunion. After a massive fight. With both sides having tons of new information that the other side would want to know. Frustrating. Love this story, but outside of action it moves so slow. This, after the last amazing chapter that explained how the sacrifices were gathered for the hero summon. Sigh.
