This manga had a lot of potential (well, as much potential as isekai-returnee slop could have) and amazing art, but it just proceeded to slowly throw that potential away. I really enjoyed the beginning, but the more I read the more annoyed I got.

Because it is shit. None of any character in this manga use their brains even once. Heck even in the latest arc when they attack oni island, none of them (multiple teams) attempt to make any strategy or make information gathering or counter measurements.

It is so retarded it is not even funny.

And of course the MC is nerfed before the fight in some very retarded way. And you wonder how can he survived the Isekai.

I am less worried about how he survived physically and more mentally
this man accepts everything and every demand thrown his way with nary a thought.

There is no way he is so politically dense after having survived in another world with , supposedly, a high position.

Dang I was about to say not to recommend reading this but was thinking of giving a chance.
But as you mentioned the characters are dumb actually. Especially the side characters and FMC?
True about the MC aswell.
But WTH is his enemies bro? Imo his attacks should out right kill/destroy them but they can even move after?
It doesn't matter if MC nerfed his enemies should be decimated.
It was worse especially against
