Mangadex to purge titles for legal reasons

That "transparency report" better not be the "list of removed titles" we've been asking for, because not only is it incomplete, it's also not very user-friendly if the list ever got larger than the current 12 entries.

They should just make a google sheet with

Title - Date of Removal - Reason for Removal

and link it in some kind of pinned post.

Not really, but that's also irrelevant in this case, the topic was specifically a certain site's tag usage. All tagging systems are necessarily going to differ in some way from common usage of words, for several reasons but especially because of the need to balance several conflicting goals.
Mangadex's usage of the "loli" tag also departs significantly from the common meaning of the word.

The common meaning of the word being "any character with a child-like body type"

Lolisho content is technically illegal in about 11 countries. I specify technically because the only nations that actively enforce this are the UK and Australia. In most cases its more like Canada where its not illegal to own but its a legal grey area if you import it. France says this content is illegal but actively make it themselves with series like Wakfu, Dofus, Totally Spies, and Code Lyoko.

Assuming the chapters didn't violate any rules its likely the scanlation group decided to remove the chapters from MD

Before anymore people get the wrong idea, the transparency page hasn't been updated since 2/12. I think it's manually updated (while it should be automated), but none of the titles on that page are related to the recent removals. They're just random series that got take down requests.

I'm hoping they revamp that page because it's going to be impossible to navigate when they add 7000 titles to it like they plan to.

You completely miss the point. A good proportion of people here(myself among them) don't actually care about the loli itself, it's about the principle of standing against censorship and outrage at the conduct of the site staff around this issue. The entire point of freedom of expression and artwork is that it doesn't just protect things you like, but instead everything. If you just go "I don't like this stuff so they can censor it", then it won't be too long before they slide down the slippery slope to things you do care about. All because you gave them an inch and set precedent that it was okay to do this; it's the thin edge of the wedge.
