Normal romance in Japanese manga means a dense blueballed harem protagonist, surrounded by a bunch of bickering, one dimensional, bitches. Even if there are lucky pervert moments, said protagonist typically gets punished no matter if it's his fault or not.

So yeah, I'm rooting for a romantic couple who grow their family and does fantasy like activities together.

Yes, have been reading it for years now... and look at that, it follows the same premise of the majority of Japanese manga, anime, and lite novels. A central male figure surrounded by a flock of often bickering females.

---edit---

A better example of a protagonist and his love intrest.
Seto no Hanayomi

And another with the more traditional tropes, but still near and dear to what's left of my heart.
Jitsu wa Watashi wa

I Came to Another World as a Jack of All Trades Master of None to Journey While Relying on Quickness is another cute monogamous couple in an isekai, and a good yarn. Unfortunately, either the translation or the manga itself is currently stalled since a year ago. Added bonus, not a sexless relationship, although the author does take a little time letting the romance kindle naturally first.

Oh this manga kinda reminded me of it because it's a main couple and they're doing fantasy things, very wholesome. But since you follow it already there's not much for me to say.

For others though, their village slowly expands with more people, it's not a harem, they also make many friendships.

I love Jitsu wa Watashi wa as well, one of my all time favourites!

Thanks for the recommendations, I share your same frustrations.
