Dead serious here, it would be some growth for that immature young boy to start being more realistic about the age gap and societal norms, and for that girl to realize that physical temptation's not the end point for a relationship.

It'd take real time spent together, conversation, and enough realness on both sides for the kids to understand if they're compatible or not. Plus, that boy should realize that the girl next to him is only going to keep getting bigger and more developed, while the teacher will start to fade at the same time.
