People need to chill when it comes to the mother. Good lord, you're talking about her like she's putting the girl through slave labor and whoring her out on the side. Yes, she's clearly a flawed character, but that doesn't make her a psychopathic villain like something out of an isekai.

Also, the girl did have trouble smiling at the start of the series, to the point that Akarin's image is in fact built around being cool and stoic. It's proof that she's negligent about her daughter's personal life, but in the context of acting as Akarin's manager? It's not an invalid point to make going off the information she has.

Again: the mother is emotionally negligent, and seems to be putting pressure on her daughter without meaning to. But please, do not strip "psychopath" of any meaning by comparing an imperfect mother to genuine articles. Or do people need to reread Fullmetal Alchemist to remember what a real psychopathic parent looks like?
