Thanks for the oneshot.

Who would have thought that this would ultimately be about parenthood and the traumatas in our childhood that shape us as we grow - with a hint of criticism towards a Laissez-faire education or at least towards an emotionless parent-child relationship. If only people in real life would be more willing to change themselves and try to heal.:aquadrink:
Looking back, the act of flying away could be considered an allegory to suicide (the daughter and grandmama having enough from their whole situation + the jumping of the window is pretty on the nose).

a touching story about a parent's role in guiding their adolescent child as they deal with their newfound freedom.

good observation. and while Hina's wings were new and angelic, her grandmother's were black and ragged after 5+ years of living without 'freedom' (/living without the will to live).

hope this artist does more

i never watched utena but i do remember hearing about an 'egg/ball' scene that was brought up a lot lol

i wonder how many ppl would still eat their own egg? I guess if it tasted normal...

dunno how many ppl knew but it's a shame she couldn't talk to her friends at least (oof being abandoned at five must suck at least drop her off at an orphanage first) but at least it worked out in the end

"It's up to you to decide."
She wouldn't be asking her mom if she already knows what she wants to do in the first place. But I guess it's still better than saying you want to do X but got a "Y is definitely better." as a response.
