It's laughably clear that it's just a pathetic way for the unimaginative author to somehow ram in the romance between Saito and Himari into the manga without actually changing anything or committing to anything. This is just extremely poor writing.

she's the worst part of this, easily. Akane and Saitou could've had a fun rom-com with everyone but her, but instead we get the stupid manipulator (that he's not even attracted to, this isn't even a triangle) trying to push herself into everything.
