it's mentioned in the first chapter that his living alone is conditional on him avoiding "inappropriate relationships" - and he REALLY wants to keep living alone.not sure why he's so averse to desiring someone of the oppposite sex even though hes in puberty. Maybe the parents were too strict in raising him up, like tiger parenting. It would add some depth to him since rn i feel like his character is pretty shallow
Parents condition is no inappropriate relationships. In Japanese context that's pretty clear, no boyfriend/girlfriend relationships, doesn't matter if it's sexual or not. The point is is to not distract from studies, which is their other condition.not sure why he's so averse to desiring someone of the oppposite sex even though hes in puberty. What? Of course romance is inherently 'inappropriate', that's the whole point. It's not like teens ever get together for platonic reasons, either. And obviously nothing appropriate can happen with this gal around.a romantic relationship doesn't automatically mean it's inappropriate???

Plus don't forget that he's lived in a house with 8 other siblings.
That's fair actually, I didnt consider him living with 8 siblings and basically having no privacy prior to his life right nowParents condition is no inappropriate relationships. Plus don't forget that he's lived in a house with 8 other siblings. I've got 3, and I personally already found it salvation when I lived for some time in a dorm during university. I purposefully went for an expensive single room. Two different people, my best friend and my at-the-time girlfriend, suggested to move to a double with either of them but I rejected both. It doesn't apply to everyone with a large family, and granted before that I also had 2 years of military service with zero privacy, but I can certainly understand the craving for some privacy after living for so long like that.
No, but they know what happens if you just go for it. Again and again and again...Parents breed like rabbits yet tell the son he can't have a girlfriend? Do both parents have a PhD in Hypocrisy?
