Yeah it's a masterpiece. Just make sure to not watch the other anime (ie Chaos;Head, Robotic;Notes, Chaos;Child) that are in the same universe as it. They are amazing works but the anime adaptions of them span from 'eh' to 'holy shit, this is garbage'. And since you do play visual novels, I'll recommend the full series if you are interested in that:

The guide is a tad outdated with Anonymous;Code being out now, but it's still mostly correct.

also I locked my profile so it wouldn't be archived by the internet archive.
Instead I limit it to the people I follow and I followed all the regulars

Couldn't you just make it so only members of the site can view your profile? This blocks the bots that archive sites automatically.

Hmmm, I don't remember being glad I watched Chaos;Head before Steins;Gate because it enhanced my viewing experience of it. Maybe that just applies to the VN, but then again, maybe I wasn't enough of a fan to be able to pick out those details... 😅

How about I give you a 20% cut as a negotiation fee and for propaganda costs to make the nickname stick and we'll call it a deal.

That or convince him to use one of your other suggestions for a 100% cut.

The Steins;Gate anime does have some small details that would go over your head if you didn't read the Chaos;Head visual novel (ie Daru mentioning a friend he has that could help find the IBN 5100 which is from Chaos;Head), but it's not really detrimental to the experience. Same thing with Steins;Gate 0, there are small mentions and callbacks about the other games but it's mostly fine. I think when it starts to become a issue is with games like Robotics;Notes and Chaos;Child. These games either have returning characters from previous titles or important lore/info that the game thinks you already know about from previous entries.

Though one thing I would like to point out is the visual novel of Steins;Gate does have a lot of cool references to Chaos;Head that didn't make the cut to the anime:
