While the journey was good, the ending was terrible unfortunately. If it wasn't something Senukin self published I'd have thought it was axed, the conclusion feels so forced

Apology, good, him re-affirming that he wants to stay friends, good,...her rejecting his feelings and kissing him anyways? ewwww.

Like shouldn't the very next panel be him pushing her away and saying "welp I guess we can't be friends" or something?

You cannot expect to say "happy ending" when this guy declared that his feelings were the one of friendship and not love. To reach this we definetly would have needed him to think it through at the very least and regret his decision, oh well.

I mean it ended on her declaring her intent to win him over, not him accepting her.

Nah, worst ending. Guy should grow some balls and have self respect and find a girl who is as much into him as he is and isn't manipulative, plays games and makes you jealous talking about other guys.

Bruh, did you even pay attention? The whole thing was that she is more into him but doesn't express herself well because of the terrible example her mother set. Also see my response above.
