i mean yes and no. Mangadex purged a ton of series for legal reasons not too long ago. A lot of translators moved off site because of this rather than risk having their work constantly removed.

Titania was already not uploading here well before the purge. I think they left during the Asura, Reaper, etc, exodus.

Yeah, but they're up to like chapter 50-something on their own website when I clicked the link provided by @lenovoaxioo so they must have violated Mangadex rules by using those uploads to advertise their own site.

Advertising your own site is violation of what? That is...weird policy. . For a piracy site. But pretty much everyone doing the same thing when they have personal site ?

You can withhold chapters for a period, but you can't upload a few chapters and then stop in order to drive traffic to your own website.

Or at least it was last year, last time I looked at the code of conduct. Looks like they got rid of that rule though.

Iirc they do still enforce something similar BC a particularly dodgy shoujo mtl scans group got banned for your example behaviour last year.

(Drove me crazy, you couldn't find anything and consistently follow it when they were still posting BC they'd post like 5-8 chapters, never post anymore, then quietly delete it, then rinse repeat when they thought folks had forgotten.)
