Deserved ban. They‘re uploading like 3 chapters for 1 manga and just paywalling the rest behind their site.
Only a handful were getting continued on MD. Was a matter of time till they get banned. Outrageous stuff they doing. They were clearly using MD just as an source to fish out their bait and dry them out somewhere else lmao

True, most scanlators who doing scum moves like that deserved to BAN permanently from MD because they are using bait as tricking readers to read them on their sites which has lots of malicious ads and paywalls.

I already count that there are dozens of them get perma ban in this sites which many of them breaking rules like Vortex Scans steal someone's work and post them as their scanlation, Rithar Scans did the horrible job of translating and puts excessive paywall on their sites, now Asmodeus scans did the same thing too. I hope that KDT scans learn the lesson after they get warning calls from MD mods because they also doing that too.

KDT scans decided to release all there works on mangadex. Only those people which are VIP or something are getting something. But I don’t think that they‘re gatekeeping anymore (that’s why they had days with full mass releases)

Well, I just remember that they used to be a good scanlator but their behaviour started to changed after changing their policy on new scanlations.

MD already sent few warnings about their works are paywalled and long delay release which was 'settled' for a moment. BUT, as soon as they settled it, they are going to bad again because too many paywalled mangas in their sites which MD cant tolerate them anymore and perma ban them for good.

Thats because they get lots of warning calls from MD like Asmodeus scans did and if they dont settled it, they are banned for life. They actually dont have bad intention with it because 80% of their works is not paywalled BUT the delay between each chapter was very inconsistent on MD.

They still Gatekeeping some of them BUT mostly on Novel sections while mangas are at bare minimum. VIP still get benefit in their site because they can read much earlier than the non-VIP did and they can request any manga/novels as long as it was within scanlation schedule.

i love/hate that the reason they finnaly got nuked was because an equally shitty scan group bitched about it in support christmas eve because they were getting away with it and they couldnt. super annoying cause they did alot of series and i saw them on my updates page almost daily.
sometimes i feel like md only exists now to force me to search for things on awful/sketchy sites but at the same time i dont want people doing the banned thing.

Actually, KDT announced about the issue about it (delay related issue and paywall issue) on their Discord weeks ago to settle with MDs term and they decided to upload on MD asap because they dont want to take a risk on them.

I'm up for banning them but god damn maybe at least just keep the latest chapter in shadow/unreadable mode? It feels really bad to lost track of which series they were doing and how many already translated chapters exist.

Not only is their site paywalled, its U.I. is offensively bad. I brought up the issue that the difference between read and unread chapter was barely noticeable (a slightly darker shade of grey on a black background) and I asked if they could make it easier to tell that a chapter was read and one of the main people gave me shit about it. What makes it worse is that I can't find most of the shit they translate on other sites like "Plant Eating Reincarnator" for example, especially since Weebdex is going down for good
