the nature of manga/anime means that the main character can't actually be drawn in a way that's "ugly" so whenever there's bullying like this it always falls flat to me. by all accounts she's just as pretty as her idol she just doesn't have big colored hair and wears glasses (because everyone knows glasses make people soo ugly).

but i'll suspend my disbelief as usual for some silly yuri shenanigans
