Hmmm... okay... my opinion of Blood isn't the best at the moment, but I have to give him this... despite going mad, a part of him knows he is crazy, and that he is causing problems to others.

He wants to finally end it all, but he knows that he left a mark on others during his life and this period of madness, so... I think he wants to make it easier for Lily to hate him and let go of him.

I kinda hope he dies, not because I hate him... even if my opinion is a little low, it doesn't reach that... but because I think it would be a more fitting end to this, and... he does deserve that release.

It is clear he can not endure his long life anymore, and it isn't a problem that can be undone with an encouraging speech.

Despite what he did now, he did do too incredible good in his life... he deserves his death.

It would be a good thematic lesson to Lily, that sometimes, the best we can do for those we care... is to let them go.

And do think this series would go this route... this has surprised me many times with how mature it can be with its themes.
