This chapter directly references a prior conversation when it points to the chibi version of him talking about becoming the one you hate. Its referring to bootlicking, or the Chinese equivalent of "dog licking," which was brought up several chapters back. He probably does want to actually lick her, but it was meant as a pun here

For those who would need it, in Chinese contexts, "dog licking" and by extension "licking" refers to the act of courting someone that doesn’t necessarily likes us back, and in some situations even either straight up dislike the "dog licker", or are already in a relationship.
These can be translated in acts of being "overly" serviceable, often to the step where most would think « damn does he/she has no pride? ».
In this context, this is what Xu Qing meant "if you don’t like me back then I would just be a dog licker", but as mentioned in earlier chapters Jiang He does not get that because it is a slang that appeared about mid to late 2010s, and thus Jiang He understood it a literally licking her, in which case pretty much everyone would react the same way…
And if you are wondering, yes this pun is pretty popular in China, and an equivalent to this would be:
"- Damn man you’re such a beta…
- You don’t get it man, it’s true love between us, just lemme cook
