I guess the viewers didn't want the show to end, so he ended up being sent back to the other world.

Still, what a strange development. The whole administrator and viewers of the server is somewhat unnecessary. It doesn't seem that he'll develop powers that allow him to break out of the matrix or something else to fight against the administrator so I'm really not sure what purpose this all served.

I'm not sure I understand the purpose of the choice of moving on to season 2 by sending him back and closing his story. I guess perhaps that meant they would have a different protagonist for the second season.

I wonder what things will be like now that he's back. I guess he'll meet Liz exactly at the point when he left her, and get dinner with the family, get extra emotional and then move on to the barony.

if i was watching this as a show, as those admin guys imply they do, i would HATE and maybe even drop that show for this unnecessary twist/padding!

time better not have passed for Liz and otherworld, such unnecessary heartache for all involved (or maybe they had a timeskip so theyll be closer in age now..)

What is this weird ass detour? If it's just gonna go back to the way it was before it's pointless and if there's some element of time having passed without the MC, or the MC having been replaced and having to once again find a place for himself it's just needlessly cruel.

These last few chapters are basically saying that MC and every character we have met so far, up to even the gods, has exactly zero agency in their own thoughts and actions. They are basically scripted characters in a game of The Sims by these higher-level administrators, thus removing any and all sense of verisimilitude. Nothing they do or think actually matters because it was preprogrammed into them.

This is like watching a horrific plane crash, massive fireball, debris and burning jet fuel as far as the eye can see... and by some miracle everyone walking out alive and untouched.

Author-san, I'm wary but I'll let you stay at the stove and cook, but this shit better be like a five star meal.

reminds me of filler episodes back in the days.. i kinda wish we could just ignore this ever happened but i presume time did not halt on Liz's side. maybe this caused some time skip allowing her to age a bit more towards MC. lol

It's unclear. On one hand, if that were the case, there'd be no point of them even talking to him, just script in behaviour as needed. You know that's what they'd do, since they've already shown they don't care one bit about his opinions or agency. On the other, they can manipulate his memories, so the whole thing is just inconsistent.

In any case, this whole development is as pointless as tits on a a lizardman...

They're giving him a false choice because the administrators gave him just enough leeway to choose from a variety of pre-determined personal hells, to give the audience a surprise and increase viewership. From there, the administrators hotfix all the appropriate thoughts, actions, scripts, and personalities to fit what the audience wants. It's basically a livestream where the audience votes on how to torture the Sim, and the streamer sets it up.

I am glad no one noticed. 😒 His other original work was turned down. So instead of trying to get it passed again. The manga author decided to put it into this manga. that was already published. It's that stupid Japanese culture or Japanese vanity that says you need to enjoy my work my way. Like Nintendo removing 3 lap tracks from random in Mario kart world.
