"Liz we know your skull might be cracked open but we must focus in his cool ass fight!"
its what most series writen quality amounts too, i swear my first thought when It started to chase him was to lead it through its ranks. If in that moment the goblin switched and started to run towards Liz's group, it would be another story. Makes one wonder about the level of most editors and writers.....
Not gonna lie, I can only describe that scene as ineptly stupid. Author spent the last handful of chapter building up the MC's competence, and then has the dud blows it all in a couple pages.
Who cares if it's chasing you, just fly higher. Oh nose, the mobs are advancing twords the defenders again... why are you not just pelting them from on high. And if the leader keep following you around, lead it thrue it's own forces so that might disrupt their advance and might even kill a few out of frustration...
And that whole thing where you led it back to your wife and team without so much as a word of warning or instructions... you lost any right to call yourself a husband, or even a man.
Especially after you couldnt be bothered to drop a heal on the woman you have mixed feelings about loving...
And the first charge is apparently just a warmup, since it involved neither the boss nor his troopsThe knights have a very powerful labour union behind them. After every charge, they get a 20 minutes break, non-negotiable. The villagers and adventurers just need to deal with this reality the best they can.
Why even attempt to engage it at this point, right in the thick of it? He was just supposed to "take a look". The pros they've been waiting for have just arrived, let them do their thing. If it turns out they can't take it, then it's time for wild manouvers. By that time both the boss and it's forces should at least be weakened.....

Not gonna lie, I've worried about their competency for years. It's like the current games industry. Even if a studio puts out a blockbuster of a game, 3 to 6 months after completion half the team is sacked and the rest are forced to quit soon after due to poor working conditions and pay cuts... except here, seemingly passable stories are axed before the story can even hit it's stride, the author looses intrest, or are just braindead dumpsterfires filled with the most generic hackneyed tropes and clichés they can pack in. They feel more and more like LLM slop then something a human would produce.its what most series writen quality amounts too, i swear my first thought when It started to chase him was to lead it through its ranks.
