The other kids weren't enabled psychopaths who viewed people like tools. They also all followed his direction - he was the mastermind behind it all. It's pretty clear the son, like the father, like the grandmother. All rotten to core, with their perceived power gone completely to their heads. Burn it all down.

Here is a bit what happened if some of you want to know... Mom was plotting something, but the grandma overheard her. She started attacking her with her walking cane like the maid. Mom did not resist just had a defiant look. She suddenly stopped, her heart started to get worked up (think she didn't take her meds), she fell on the floor in pain... Mom just stood up and walked by her to leave the room. Grandma begged her for help, but mom just looked at her in defiance again... It depends on how tough the mother is. But the weak willed might even consider double suicide to atone.

I don't see that happening here though. So maybe she is gonna keep him isolated in prison and be the only contact. Devoted to listing him complain calmly.

Then go goes through the stages of grief. Lashing out, denial, threatening, faking reform, lashing out again. Crying how unfair it is.
Till he is tired and despondent.
Still in prison though.
