That's one way to turn the "game" on its head. Lay the confession that she wanted right into her lap, with him telling it to the entire student body there's no way that it stays within the bounds of the school alone, so no way for his father to completely bury the story, but really he won't need to.
Kinugawa and his father's PR team cook up some insincere story about growth and holding accountability for past mistakes, and since everyone already loves him they'll eat it right up, and even if Kinugawa gets taken to court he'll get slapped on the wrist by what ever judge that his father is definitely rubbing shoulder with, they'll chalk it up to "affluenza" or some shit, he'll get community service, and be off scott free, but technically he would
have been punished by the law fulfilling Sakurai's demands.
And now with every thing out in the open plotting Kinugawa's real downfall is a little bit trickier and if Sakurai start fussing about actual accountability and him getting a proper punishment she'll just be discredited as a grief stricken bitter woman.
I don't read too many revenge manga, but i think this is the first time i've seen an antagonist get a major upper hand by "conceding", really neat development.
