Honestly, not sure what to think about Mama Mamu : feels like she just dumped her Magical Girl responsabilities on her daughter and apparently, spies on her behind her back... can't really call that good parenting.

In chapter 1, we're told that, "There's an ironclad rule that magical girls must live by themselves when they turn 10.". And in chapter 35, we're told that, "A magical girl's magic power hits its peak between the ages of 14 and 17, and drops harshly after you reach adulthood.". So Mamu's mother seems to be doing the best she can to watch over Mamu, after she had to retire as a magical girl.
