I'm sorry but that castle is way too big it's basically the size of the entire town. The guard posts on top of the gate are literally bigger than the surrounding houses.

I wanted to say the same thing. If we take the houses to scale, the castle takes an area of a whole town and the highest tower would be as tall as the tallest real life modern skyscraper.

Looking at it more carefully I think the artist just messed up the perspective of scale because of the carriage is the same size as the multi-story houses.

Could be it's on a hill and the artist messed up the scale. As it is, the moat seems like a pretty deep canyon.
