It's like a chef that suddenly wants to try dumping every spice he has on hand to the dish he's currently cooking because he just learned about them. A bit of spice tastes great and all, but only in certain amounts.

On the other hand, as a fellow webcomic artist, albeit a nobody compared to Yagi-sensei, I also believe making tons of mistakes is part of the growing process...

I don't read this series for them.

It doesn't really matter if they're here before the comic; people like me don't or haven't read their other series. It's not the freaking MCU and I don't want to have to do required reading of other works just to enjoy this one series.

Yes I'm aware of some Japanese legends, but for those who don't know nor care enough about them, they are missing out big time. Even then it doesn't matter, what matter is what's happening IN the comic. Going from that, they're basically just "Who the hell are these rabbit people?! And why should I care about them, they're not the main characters?".
All I care about is Haru, Taya, their baby, and maybe their parents.

If the author wants to make Shonen hypebeast shit now that's okay, I just think it would be better if it were it's own thing instead of being grafted onto this series after the fact. It's okay for Taya and Haru's story to end if you want to do new and different things, they've had a good run.

I feel the slice of life and shonen action element balence right out nice. This manga would not be as good with either one element or the other.
