thanks for the translation and upload though on one hand I still find it remarkable that Mai's last act was to give Shy a ring, but on the other hand shouldn't the converters be translating the languages of the wearers? So should all of La's expletives and french witticisms also be translated or did the writer keep those to remind the readers that he's very french?

It's because he doesn't want to be understood, he wants to make them listen to him speak French. The bracelets don't translate languages, they let you communicate your heart to the world, or whatever. He doesn't want to communicate intelligible information, he wants to communicate Frenchness.
