Dropping some gun lore. Feel free to skip

Cool revolver choice But i dont think its suited for beginners.
First of all, pistols overall are harder to use than rifles or long guns. Not having a stock or brace gives one less point of contact and makes it less stable to aim;
the shorter length of the pistol also makes it easier to misalign the iron sights. This being a SBR excaerbates the issue. Recoil is also easier to manage on a long gun with the presence of the stock adding another point of stability
Aside from that,
Having the hammer be uncovered or covered for shooting doesn't make any difference for double action. The option is mainly just for concealed carry so the hammer isnt poking you or being accidentally manipulated.
And as the revolver is double action, this means the trigger pull would be heavier and have a longer travel as it has to move the hammer back on the pull. The heavier trigger makes it more likely that you'd pull your muzzle off to the side as described in the manga, potentially making it more difficult for beginners.
The revolver also presents the complication of a cyclinder which requires you to manually remove the rounds and load 1 by 1. This would make loading more complicated for a beginner than just removing a box magazine and putting a loaded one in. the cyclinder also holds less rounds than a magazine. i.e the diamondback holds 6 whereas a glock 17 holds 17 rounds. The lower magazine capacity reduces the opportunities for a beginner to actually land rounds on target. Higher capacity would provide more chances to a beginner should they miss
In a high stress environment there is much more to manage for a revolver than a semi automatic pistol. Which i'd argue makes it a lesser fit for a beginner compared to other pistols such as a glock or vice versa.
Thanks for reading my fudd take
