Why would everyone already be letting their guard down and starting casual conversation? Clearly this is a flag. He isn't completely immobilized as suggested by the summoned armor still being attached to him and we've seen him use the teleport/spacial movement already. Worst case scenario is if he escapes and now MC, her family, and the party all become targets when he tells his superiors in the demonic cult about them...just before they kill him for his failure.

Villains rarely if ever die at the hand of heroes in these kind of half joke stories. They either self implode or their boss kills them but they never meet their end at the hand of the MC just to maintain the stupid notion that heroes don't kill people just rough them up (so they can return and hurt even more innocent people). So karma does it instead. So expect the "even greater threat" appear next chapter to erase him for good while raising the stakes in the meantime.

Why didn't he teleport away after seeing her stand though? Is it only available when kidnapping people?
