Thanks for the TL.

Do we know much about Naori's past or her family situation? Hinata has plenty of reasons to be circumspect about her feelings between being an ogre among humans and her family kinda hating and fearing her. But I can't remember if we have more background for Naori doing the yuri protag shit communication thing or if it's just that she has a closed off personality.

I should really re-read this series.

There are flashbacks of Naori talking to her grandfather about how she doesn't understand people; she has some difficulty understanding people.

I'm pretty frustrated with Naori here, ngl. I do not think Hinata's perspective on being an ogre is remotely healthy, but Naori essentially deciding what's best for Hinata on her own, and pushing that on Hinata without discussing it with her feels pretty bad. There's a million shades of grey between Hinata completely embracing her Ogre identity and everything that comes with it, and turning into a human and leaving that identity and everything else behind. I understand why Hinata can't see those shades of grey, but I don't understand why Naori also ended up getting caught up in such black and white thinking. I don't think this drama necessarily feels forced, but I do think if the series wants this to be as satisfying as it can be, it's going to need to put in some extra work to justify why Naori, despite seemingly not having any ogre or identity related baggage, would come to such a drastic position.

Thank you for the TL!

I think Naori's perspective is very simple; she loves Hinata as she is, and the thought that Hinata has to change herself in order to fit in with the world is unacceptable to Naori. Naori loves and accepts Hinata as she is, and thinks the world should do the same. She thinks that Hinata is sacrificing part of herself by shedding her ogreness and becoming human. Naori doesn't want Hinata to have to sacrifice anything to be happy.

The issue, of course, is that Hinata does NOT feel the same way about her ogreness... to her, it's a cursed, unwanted part of her, and shedding it would be freedom for Hinata. So they've gotta get on the same page about what being an ogre means, and whether it's truly a good or bad thing.

But they gotta realize their feeling for each other quick.
Pretty sure they already know they love each other.

Her and the girl she's currently fumbling by not letting her transition(into a human). Seriously fuck Naori this chapter she really could have opened that "discussion" better. (Also did anyone else notice the pattern on their cloths looks a bit like the cool S in the close up panels?)
