Genuine question, what's the point of deleting your account if your history is still tied to the account and the profile is still available? I recall in the past when you did delete your account both these things were removed, but now it isn't?

I wonder if they still intend to delete the account properly 28 days after clicking the button to delete the account, but that what we see right now is just the temporary state until that time. Otherwise it would be nice to get more insight in what stays and what goes when deleting your account.

If it's unavailable that's most likely due to it being taken down by a dmca I believe

even without want to clean the name, there is no reason to keep your data in the site where it have nothing to do with your information anymore. so people can consider to request the data to be deleted. getting banned mean having the account is useless anyway except you still want to be around the forum. but "dirty history"? doubt there is any of them in most recent banned account anyway.

Yeah, posts cannot be edited by users after 2 or 3 months.

You can request a mod to delete some of your messages, but they might not be up for deleting hundreds of them manually.
Doesn't look like you have shared any sensitive info and besides, don't you think some of your posts are also kinda part of this site in like, a good way? 😄

If you're worried about something then it might be better to report your own comments which you think do have sensitive info, then change your passwords, private your account and don't use it if you're leaving.
Maybe you can take advantage of the law if you meet certain conditions? This probably won't work because of the ToS but you could look into it.

Remember that you're on the internet so very few things are truly 100% deleted, there are archives and other methods to find things and track people.

That is the thing, i don't feel like being part of this community anymore and i don't see why the contributions (whatever small they might be) to remain here, they (the admins) don't own them.
I wouldn't want to resort to legal action, but they should not wait until they get sued by someone who can in their country, to implement a method to delete all info in their site.

Not sure about them owning anything but them and others can use it.
For clarification: basically making an account and putting stuff here means you're kinda permitting anyone to use it.

Which do you want deleted? The ones where you called people rather vile things unprovoked (and now cry when receiving 1/100th of the same from others) or those in which you mindlessly shilled for same kind of decisions you're now complaining about? That's pretty much the sum of your "however small" contributions, so they should stay as exhibits, preferably with some identifiable information, just to see if you have the balls for that supposed legal action against a company that does not operate in your country.
