My dumb ass just realized that Kageyama and Rio are like Yoasobi. One is the songwriter and the other is the singer.

If those two had nothing on paper regarding the songs, then all the rights still belong to Kageyama, regardless of Natsukawa having performed them before. The idol agency will probably forbid Natsukawa from singing those songs anymore, unless they can pull a fast one on Kageyama, making him relinquish the rights for free or for a pittance. Those Japanese idol agencies function like yakuza organisations, so they probably do have some people who can convince amateurs like Kageyama to sign papers that nobody should willingly sign. But the agency might indeed decide to avoid all trouble and simply make Natsukawa forget all about Kageyama and his creations.

But then again, this is a drama manga, so who knows. Kageyama is the male MC, so he might play a big role, even if in real life this would be the end for his cooperation with Natsukawa.

Erm, calling you side piece when you aren't even certain that your main left you is quite bad, m'key? Beside, does blondie even understands that choosing agency means that she can't "use" his songwriting? To me it looks like she does not know it at all
Yeah it looks like she's not quite aware of that well I don't think he's been paid for any of the work he's done so I'm sure she thinks things would just carry on like normal

Yeah in real life they would have nothing to do with each other after this but in this case the group may take him on if they think his songs are very good that way she can keep seeing them as part of the group. If he remains not in the group and doesn't sign over it the songs then she can't sing them anymore it's a tough predicament to be in

Hey guys, crazy idea!!!
What if he asks her if she will continue to work with him instead of deciding she discarded him?????
Nah! That would be too dumb!
There is a problem there with her joining the group all those songs were written by him not her therefore he has ownership of them even if she's the one who sings them. If she joins that group then in order to keep singing them he would either need to join the group be paid a contribution when they are done or a contract signing off on his rights to the songs

Sure... But I am pretty sure she doesn't know this
