There's nothing nor no one to forgive. The country that originally summoned him (and also ordered his execution) is destroyed already. Victoria's country is neutral and for the most part knows better to leave him alone. It's just that there are idiots who doesnt think so.

It's so good to see the protagonist so realistic that we connect with him, like you're sent to another world without warning, forced to leave everything you love, family, friends, and fight a war that isn't yours, then you're a traitor and almost killed, and it's great that he continues like this, living with his wife in the forest and telling those ungrateful royals to shut up.

I've always wanted one of these protagonists to go nuclear on the entire world. I mean, they are all kidnapped, and then are just ok with it because they get some fantasy powers. No, you owuld be PISSED that you could never see your family and friends again.
Plus, if you had to live in medieval society, you would get depression from dopamine withdrawal because of how engineered modern society and media are to trigger dopamine.
