I think she has that Amaori Renako aura that keeps the girl around her crazy for her. I am all for poly route as that makes everyone happy in the end, and Mei is the one that can get it done.

Who did Mei really reject? Sensei put her on a waiting list. Smelly ran away abroad. Audiophile turned herself down.
Only rejection i'd count is not letting Taste have her fill before marriage.

I've heard the news that is ending soon, I had to stop reading long ago when one of the girls came with the proposal of "let's pretend to date" and that rubbed me the wrong way because everyone was equal getting chances so I didn't want to see the others getting discouraged even if it was fake... That probably resolved quickly or didn't amount to much but the risk was there and then I didn't find a good timing to come back.
Knowing the end would make reading previous chapters more relaxing for the fanservice I think, that's what I'll do.

I didn't see that weird exchange coming but at least, the focus was on Maria. I'm getting whiplash with every new chapter lately and she's the only constant... somewhat lol.

Knowing we're nearing the conclusion, I'm not even all that confident Maria is end-game anymore. It's bittersweet because I'm not particularly rooting for Mei (she's got nothing going on for her imo), but I am rooting for Maria's happiness, which is being with Mei, so...

Like someone else said, poly would definitely come as a cop-out to me at this point. With how possessive girls like Maria and smell-freak seem to be over Mei, it's hard to imagine them suddenly being suddenly okay with anything but an exclusive relationship.
