To be fair, the author is a cruel god who made it impossible for sharing to be enough. Imagine a man bring shared 40 ways. There's no way for that to feel good and fair. Going over 20 is already severely pushing it.

Monogamy is best, but in polygamy,

7 means one woman per day of the week. And 14 means two women per day. Splitting it any further is cruel to both genders.

...that's already way beyond anything remotely manageable normally. I mean, as a girl I would have my demands and the guy has to somehow meet them. Not to mention if you share your guy, you will have to take a very good look at the other girls you are dealing with. It's a matter of trust and chemistry. And the more you add to the mix, the higher the risk it will blow up in your face. Even 7 is already pushing it, though in that world it might work out if the girls get along with each other and the guy isn't an asshole but treats his girls fairly.

More interesting compared to class would be what happens during breaks, especially lunch break. There's literally a provision in Exodus that says servant-wives can go free with no troubles if their husband takes a new wife and diminishes their food, clothing, or sexy time (Exodus called it duty of marriage) because of the new wife.

So at least biblically Polygamy has some strong restrictions (which is why Solomon was so awful to take many hundreds of women. Even if the exact number was smaller, even having several dozen women is just inconsiderate, and the book says he has 1000)

...which is my main beef with this story and also with "100 Girlfriends who really really love you". Like, making him bend space-time to meet their needs is just ridiculous. I want to see a true harem with a true chad. I was so close with Girlfriend Girlfriend, but then the story ended before they actually lived the full harem life.

The thing is those regulations were made in a 1:1 world, this is a 1:39 so the expectations are entirely different for every woman here. They genuinely do expect him to have more than one wife, like the standards for duty of marriage would be way less here and entirely surrounded on keeping the man happy, not the women. Just one man is worth 39 women.

I think, at the very least, two per day for a total of 14 would be best in this world. Many have shown a willingness to share with trusted others, and each girl is shown to really only want sex/the occasional dose of romance. A day split for two should be enough to last until the next day.

The main problem is the MC's stamina and emotional capacity, and the standards of marriage would be centered around keeping him satisfied enough to handle such a load. Thus necessitating the women to take off days away from him, or allowing him to rest between mating sessions. He is the catch, he is the princess in this scenario, and it wouldn't be up to him to keep the standards of marriage.
